We are far from post-pandemic status, but many venues are opening up in the U.S. and globally. While it's difficult for me to ever think that I lost my groove. it's good to have some fun things to do to ramp my groove up. So, let's ramp up together! Whether you are in a relationship or winging it, it's always good to explore!
Plan a date night - It's always great to have dinner or a movie on a date night. Try something new if possible. One of my favorite places is the lakefront. Take some chairs, a table, a barbecue grill, some libations and let's get it on baby. Some additional suggestions are brunch, karaoke, lunch picnics, intimate music events, and ladies and gentleman's clubs.
2. Cook together - I have ordered out so many times that I am sick of fast food! I'm not sure if you noticed, but take out or delivery food has been horrendous! I believe that a lot of restaurants could not maintain their quality of food or service. However, cooking together can be very romantic and sexy. Put on some music while you cut up and marinate the ingredients. Rub against each other as you pass by...nothing wrong with a little kissing...add a little touching and before you know it, someone is eating or sucking something. Who said that whatever you choose to eat has to be on a plate?
3. Exercise - It's amazing that I didn't gain any weight in the last year or so. But I didn't lose any either. In the last couple of days, I've gained about 5 lbs. Damn, I am going out on the town tomorrow. So, I better be good today and hope that I can fix in my sexy dress. Exercising, whether by yourself or as a couple is great. Walking, cleaning the house, running, yoga, home exercises, the gym ( I'm not going there though) or planting a garden can be beneficial to your mental and physical health. So get off of the couch and get busy.
4. Massages - A couple's massage can be awesome, and if you want to get your groove back by yourself, that's cool too! You can create your own spa experience by hiring a masseuse, a Mani-pedi specialist, music, candles and the right body lotions and creams and there you have it! It's always good to go to a nice spa. Just make sure that the spa is sanitary!
5. Dance - While dancing is a form of exercise, it is definitely a way of getting back or improving your groove. I can't wait to get into a sexy hot salsa class! Or to do some serious stepping. You can always go to your favorite hot spot, or find a new venue to dance the night away. Check your area for outdoor dance events.
6. Travel - Well, it's time to get on that plane, train, or scooter and get your travel on. I must admit, I am going to Jamaica soon. And the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection cruises are to die for! Get those bags packed and get to rockin! If you are on a limited budget, you can always vacation close to home. You can opt for a one or two night excursion or book a rental home through a valid company. Right now hotel prices are pretty low so don't wait too long!
7. Renew your vows - If you are married or have a significant other and have exchanged vows or promises, it may be a good time to renew them. It could make you feel like things are starting over and bring new life to your relationship. Whether it's with yourself, as a couple, or with family it's a celebration! There have not been many things to celebrate over the past year.
So, these are 7 things that Phabulous Phabulous recommends for getting your groove back, or waking it up again. So, LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE, WERK YOUR BEST SELF, AND HAVE FUN!
